Move from Digits
Leave Digits for free. Every month ties to the cent.
Connect Digits and your banks. The agent reads your full history through Digits' own read-only MCP, rebuilds it, proves it and asks you only what it cannot resolve.
5 steps, and you approve once.
- 1
Connect Digits, once per company
You sign in to Digits through its MCP connection. Digits allows one company per connection, so you repeat this for each company. The connection has one scope, Ledger Read, so nothing in Digits changes.
- 2
Connect your banks and cards
You connect Mercury, Brex, Ramp, Stripe and your other banks with read-only access. The agent fetches bank statements from the banks, because Digits' MCP cannot read its document vault.
- 3
The agent rebuilds your books
The agent pulls your chart of accounts, vendors, customers and every ledger entry from Digits, maps each account and posts your full history into a staging copy.
- 4
The agent proves every month, and you answer what is left
The agent ties each month-end to Digits' own reports and to your bank statements. Anything it cannot resolve comes to you as a short, grouped question, such as 'Keep Digits' version or match the bank?'
- 5
You approve once, and your books go live
One approval moves your history out of staging. You can undo the whole import for 30 days. Keep Digits until your first month closes in Accountable, then cancel.
What comes over from Digits
- Your chart of accounts, with its parent and child accounts
- Vendors and customers (Digits calls them parties)
- Every ledger entry since your first transaction in Digits, with its category and party
- Opening balances from your first month in Digits
- Digits' monthly profit and loss and balance sheet, used as the answer key for the tie-out
- Your bank and card statements, fetched straight from your banks
How we prove it ties to the cent
The agent rebuilds your books in a staging copy first. For every month-end, it checks that the balance sheet and the profit and loss match your old tool's own reports to the cent, and that each bank and card balance matches its statement. Where the answer is clear, such as a duplicate payout, it explains and fixes the difference; the rest become questions for you. You get a tie-out report that lists every month, every account and every difference with its explanation. Suspected mistakes in the old books go on a separate cleanup list, so nothing is changed without you seeing it.
Questions about moving from Digits
What does the move cost?
Nothing. Migration is free on every plan, including Free, for every company you move.
Will the agent change anything in Digits?
No. Digits' MCP has only the Ledger Read scope. It cannot create, change or delete anything in Digits.
I run several companies on Digits. Do I move them one at a time?
You connect each company once, because Digits allows one company per connection. The agent then moves them all into one workspace. Pro includes 2 companies for $149 a month, and each extra company costs $49.
What should I check before I cancel Digits?
Read your Digits contract. Digits' terms let either side end the contract with 30 days' written notice, and fees for the rest of the term become due when it ends. Digits deletes your data within 30 days of a written request.
How long does it take?
Most of the work is machine time. You get the tie-out report within 48 hours.
