What sharing means

When it is on, the Meta pixel and the Google Ads tag on accountable.im tell Meta and Google which pages you visit, when you sign up and when you start a trial, together with your device and their cookie identifiers. We use this to measure our own ads and to show them to people likely to want Accountable. US state privacy laws call this “sharing” for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We never send them your books, your name, your email address or any amount.

Turning it off sets a cookie on this browser for a year, and the tags stop loading on every page from then on. Do it again on each browser and device you use, and again if you clear your cookies.

Global Privacy Control is honored

If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as your request to opt out, and the tags never load. You don’t need to do anything here. The tags also never load for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland.
