Move from Kick

Leave Kick for free. Every month ties to the cent.

Connect Kick's MCP and pick an entity. The agent brings over your ledger, statements, receipts and rules, proves each month and asks you only what it cannot resolve.

42 of 42 months tie to the cent

Checked against Kick's own month-end numbers and every bank and card statement.

5 steps, and you approve once.

  1. 1

Connect Kick and pick the entity

You sign in to Kick's MCP. When your Kick workspace holds several entities, you pick the one that moves into this company. The agent calls only Kick's read tools, so nothing in Kick changes.

  2. 2

The agent reads your ledger and documents

It pulls your chart of accounts, every cash-ledger entry with its counterparty, your classes, Kick's accrual adjustments, and the bank statements and receipts in Kick's Documents.

  3. 3

    The agent rebuilds your books

It maps each account by name, code or type and posts your full history into a staging copy. Classes become Location. Kick's rules come over switched off, so they change nothing until you turn them on.

  4. 4

The agent proves every month, and you answer what is left

The agent ties each month-end to Kick's own trial balance and profit and loss, and each bank balance to the statements Kick holds. Anything it cannot resolve comes to you as a short, grouped question.

  5. 5

You approve once, and your books go live

One approval moves your history out of staging. You can undo the whole import for 30 days. Statements and receipts are filed in Documents and linked to their account-month or entry.

What comes over from Kick

  • Your chart of accounts
  • Every entry in Kick's cash ledger, with its counterparty
  • Kick's accrual adjustments, shown only in the accrual view
  • Classes, as Location
  • Bank statements, linked to their account and month
  • Receipts, linked to the entries they support
  • Your rules, switched off until you turn them on (rules with conditions we cannot express yet stay in Kick, and the review counts them)
  • Kick's monthly trial balance and profit and loss, used as the answer key for the tie-out

How we prove it ties to the cent

The agent rebuilds your books in a staging copy first. For every month-end, it checks that each account matches Kick's own trial balance and profit and loss to the cent, that every entry balances, and that assets equal liabilities plus equity. Each bank statement in Kick that records an ending balance is checked against its account at that month-end. Where the answer is clear, such as a row listed twice, it explains and fixes the difference; the rest become questions for you. You get a tie-out report, as PDF and Excel, that lists every month, every account and every difference with its explanation. Suspected mistakes in the old books go on a separate cleanup list, so nothing is changed without you seeing it.

Questions about moving from Kick

What does the move cost?

Nothing. Migration is free on every plan, including Free, for every company you move.

Will the agent change anything in Kick?

No. The agent calls only Kick's read tools. It cannot create, change or delete anything in Kick.

Do my Kick rules come over?

Yes, switched off. Each one shows how many of your transactions it would match. You turn on the ones you want; they apply to new transactions, and you can choose to apply them to open months too.

I run several entities on Kick. How do I move them?

Each Kick entity moves into its own company in one Accountable workspace; you pick the entity at the start of each move. Pro includes 2 companies for $149 a month, and each extra company costs $49. Kick Plus costs $100 a month plus $50 for each extra entity past 250 transactions a year.

What happens to Kick's accrual ledger?

Kick keeps accrual adjustments in a separate ledger. They come over as entries that show only in the accrual view, so your cash view still matches Kick's cash ledger to the cent.
