AI agent access (MCP)
Accountable: Read-only on Free. Read and write on Pro: every write shows a preview, is logged and can be undone, and big changes wait for a person to approve them.
Kick: Read and write from the $40 Basic plan. The agent confirms its own writes, previews name the record but show no before and after values, and a resent confirmation posted a duplicate entry in our test.
Month-end close
Accountable: The month closes on the 1st: reconciled to the bank, reviewed, locked and reported. New transactions from Mercury, Brex, Ramp and Stripe post within minutes.
Kick: No close page. The pieces are statement reconciliation per account, period locks and tasks.

Does Accountable have an MCP server like Kick's?
Yes. It is read-only on Free and read and write on Pro. Every write shows the full change first, applies once, is logged under the agent's name and can be undone. The server also ships short guides so any agent works the way ours does.
Who shows up in the audit log when my agent makes a change?
The agent, the app it ran in, the person whose connection it used and the person who approved it. In our test, Kick logged the agent's changes under the user's name.
