See every line in a bank or card account, with its balance
Transactions › Accounts lists every bank and card with its balance. Pick one to see each line newest first, the balance after it, and the opening balance. It's the register QuickBooks calls a bank register.

Steps
Step 1: Open Transactions and pick the Accounts tab.
Step 2: Pick a bank or card on the left. Each line shows its date, who, the category, the amount and the balance after it.
Step 3: Choose the months at the top. The last line is the opening balance on the day before.
Step 4: Click a bank line to open the transaction, or a journal line to open its entry.
Step 5: Press CSV to download the lines.
Good to know
- The balance is the books' balance, the same one the balance sheet shows and Close reconciles against the bank statement.
- A reversed line and its reversal show dimmed: they cancel out and stay for the record.
