Record money between your companies

A New intercompany entry posts both sides at once, in each company's books, so one company's receivable always matches the other's payable.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Open Settings › Consolidation groups (or a group's page) and press New intercompany entry.

  2. Step 2: Pick From and To, and What it is: Expense paid on behalf, Cost share, Loan advance, Loan repayment, Loan interest, Management fee, Capital contribution or Other.

  3. Step 3: Fill in Amount, Date and Memo.

  4. Step 4: Press Preview both sides, check each company's entry, then press Post, which names the amount and posts it in both.

Good to know

  • Set up recurring pairs under Intercompany pairs with New pair (Due to and from, or Loan).
