Create a personal access token for scripts and other MCP clients

For a CLI, a script or an MCP client without sign-in, create a personal access token in Settings › AI and agents and send it as a Bearer token.

Steps

Step 1: Open Settings › AI and agents and scroll to Access tokens.
Step 2: Press Create token. Give it a Name, pick Access (Read only or Read and write) and Companies (All my companies or Selected).
Step 3: Press create and copy the token. It starts with acc_pat_ and is shown only once.
Step 4: Send it as Authorization: Bearer <token> to https://accountable.im/mcp or the API at https://accountable.im/v1.

Good to know

Revoke a token from the same list when you no longer need it.
Clients that support OAuth discovery don't need a token: they open Accountable's sign-in page.
