Sign in with a passkey
Open Settings › Security, press Add a passkey, name it and confirm with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, a security key or 1Password. Next time, press Sign in with a passkey: no code to type.
Steps
Step 1: Open Settings › Security.
Step 2: Press Add a passkey next to Passkeys, keep or change the name, and press Continue.
Step 3: Confirm in your browser's prompt with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, a security key or your password manager.
Step 4: To sign in, press Sign in with a passkey on the sign-in page, or pick the passkey in the email field's autofill.
Good to know
- A passkey sign-in counts as your second factor, so it skips the authenticator code and opens companies that require two-factor.
- Adding or removing a passkey asks you to have signed in within the last 10 minutes. If it has been longer, press Sign in again.
- Lost the device? Sign in with an email code and remove the passkey in Settings › Security.
