Get your first company's books running

Sign up, add your company, connect your accounts and see your first month done, in about fifteen minutes.

  1. Set up Accountable in 15 minutesCreate your account, add your company, bring your old books or start fresh, and connect your bank. Accountable categorizes everything that comes in.
  2. Create your Accountable accountSign up with your work email and a 6-digit code, or with Google. There is no password to set unless you want one.
  3. Set up your companyEach legal entity is one company in Accountable. Give it a name, country, entity type, the currency its books are kept in, and cash or accrual basis.
  4. Start fresh or move your old booksPick Start fresh for a new company with no history. Pick Move my books to bring your full history from another tool, with every month-end checked to the cent.
  5. Find your way around the appThe sidebar holds your books, the top bar holds Ask and Help, ⌘K finds any page or action, and Settings holds everything about the company and you.
  6. Keyboard shortcuts⌘K searches everything, ⌘J asks Accountable, ⌘1 to ⌘9 switch company, ⌘0 shows all companies and ⌘. hides balances.
  7. Change your company's name, fiscal year or timezoneOwners and admins change the company's display name, legal name, fiscal year start, timezone and reporting basis in Settings › Company.
