Read your P&L, balance sheet, burn and runway

Every report, how to pick months and compare, and how to send your CPA and investors what they ask for.

  1. Find your P&L, balance sheet and cash flowReports has five statements: Profit and loss, Balance sheet, Cash flow, Trial balance and General ledger. Pick the months at the top and click any number to see the lines behind it.
  2. Compare to last month or last yearUse Compare on any statement to put the prior period or the same period last year next to the months you picked.
  3. Export a report to CSV, Excel or PDFEvery statement exports as CSV, Excel or PDF from the Export menu, and Financial package (zip) bundles them for your CPA. Export is free on every plan.
  4. Pick the months you're looking atThe period control shows 24 months: click one, drag across several, or pick a preset. The choice stays when you switch page or company.
  5. See your burn and runwayHome shows cash, monthly burn and runway for the month you pick, always on a cash basis. Reports › Analysis breaks spend and revenue down further.
  6. Plan hires and runway scenariosPlanning starts from your actual burn. Add hires, cost changes or revenue changes and runway updates as you edit.
  7. Draft and send your investor updateReports › Analysis › Investor update drafts the month's update from your books. Edit it, then send it or share a link.
  8. Share a dashboard or report with a linkOwners and admins share any Analysis view with a link or with named people, with an optional passcode and expiry, as live numbers or a snapshot.
  9. See the books as they were on a past dateTime machine shows any report as it was known on a past date, or at each month's close, so you can see what changed since.
  10. Get everything your CPA needs for your returnFor US companies, Tax › Return has the year's package for your CPA, ready to download once the year is closed. Tax › 1099s prepares your 1099 filings.
