Connect Ramp with your own API app

Before you start

• You're an admin or the business owner in Ramp.

Steps

   Step 1: In Accountable, open Connections (Settings › Banks, cards and payroll), press Connect an account and pick Ramp. The dialog Use your own Ramp API keys opens.

   Step 2: In Ramp, open Developer apps. Click Start building for your first app, or Create new app.

   Step 3: Name the app Accountable and accept the terms.

   Step 4: Under Grant types, make sure Client credentials is on.

5. 5

   Step 5: Under Scopes, click Configure allowed scopes and pick transactions:read, business:read and statements:read. Nothing that writes.

   Step 6: Copy the Client ID and Client Secret.

   Step 7: Back in Accountable, paste them into Client ID and Client secret and press Connect.

Good to know

• Ramp's access tokens last 10 days. Accountable gets a new one automatically with your app's keys.
• The Ramp business account isn't in Ramp's API yet: upload its statements from Connections › Import file.
